The target audience for AORTIC’s seventh international cancer conference is
anyone interested in the burden of cancer in Africa. At AORTIC’s last conference in 2007,
delegates included over 400 physicians, nurses, social workers, researchers, and representatives
from various NGOs and international companies serving the cancer sector.
The conference seeks to attract a significant African contingent from among
nurses, social workers, clinicians, researchers and volunteers who would benefit from this
conference but might be unable to attend due to financial constraints. To assist in overcoming
financial obstacles, AORTIC is seeking funding from sponsors for a bursary process that will
offer partial or full funding for some delegates.
