Wednesday, 18 November: Gynaecologic oncologic pathology workshop
This year, the pathology special interest group within AORTIC (aka African Pathologists’ Forum) is beginning a new series of advanced and in-depth educational courses in surgical oncology at the AORTIC 2015 conference. The first in the series is a pre-conference Gynecologic pathology course to be given by Prof Dr Med Steffan Hauptman and Professor Michael Wells. Although designed primarily for pathologists and pathology trainees, attendance at this course is encouraged for everyone whose practice involves gynecologic oncology.

Thursday, 19 November: Pathology immunohistochemistry workshop
The pathology special interest group (aka African Pathologists Forum) in AORTIC is pleased to organize an immunohistochemistry (IHC) workshop at the 2015 AORTIC conference in Marrakech, Morocco. This is a comprehensive one day workshop providing hands on experience in practical IHC techniques with didactics on the basics of IHC applications, interpretation and troubleshooting. The cost efficient use of antibody panels (especially in low resource countries) in the diagnosis of undifferentiated tumors, soft tissue sarcomas, hematopatholoy and CNS tumors will be presented by experts in the various fields.
