Travel regulations are known to change without notice to the public. We recommend that you check the current regulations with the Mozambique Consulate in your home country before you travel.
A visa support letter is NOT required for passport holders of Botswana, Malawi, Mauritius, Swaziland, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. You may enter Mozambique for tourist purposes, if travelling for less than 30 days.
If you hold any other passport you need to apply for a business or tourist visa in your home country before you arrive in Mozambique.
For more information on paperwork needed to enter Mozambique, and inoculations and vaccinations, see the Travel Advice page.
AORTIC 2019 cannot issue visas to attend the conference but can issue a Visa Support Letter to assist with your visa application. Please note that Visa Support Letters will only be issued electronically upon confirmation of registration and after full payment for registration fees and accommodation has been received.
If you require a Visa Support Letter, please complete the following sections on the Personal Details section registration system:
The only inoculation requirement for visitors is a yellow fever vaccination certificate for those entering Mozambique within six days of leaving (or travelling through) a yellow fever zone. Please note that it is not possible to be inoculated upon arrival and your inoculation certificate must be dated at least ten days prior to your arrival in Mozambique. Babies of one year old or younger are exempt.
Malaria is endemic in Maputo and it is essential to take precautions. Travel clinics recommend Hepatitis A, Typhoid, and Hepatitis B vaccinations (more than 15 days before departure). Please consult your local doctor or travel clinic for further advice.
Please be sure to take out travel insurance for your trip to Mozambique, or make sure that your personal medical aid/insurance will cover you in case of any unfortunate sickness or injury.
