Dr. Martin Kistin is a Gastroenterologist and Professor of Medicine at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served as the Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship program director for 10 years. Prior to that he had a Gastroenterology and Hepatology practice caring for patients throughout New Mexico.
He currently works with Project ECHO in Albuquerque and is part of the Project ECHO replication team helping to spread ECHO throughout the world. He works with the United States Defense Health Agency to support and spread the ECHO model within the US Department of Defense and is working to apply the ECHO model in the areas of education and quality improvement.
Dr. Kistin did his medical training at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and his residency and GI and Hepatology fellowship at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston.
